The Iowa Prosperity Project (P2) is sponsored by Economic Progress for Iowa 's Citizens (EPIC), a not-for-profit entity founded in 1991 by a number of businesses and statewide business associations. EPIC is a non-partisan organization dedicated to research and the dissemination of data on the attitudes of Iowa 's citizens, legislators, and legislative candidates on matters affecting business.
While EPIC believes that Iowa and its citizens will benefit from a "pro-business" environment, EPIC neither endorses nor opposes any candidate for public office. EPIC does encourage the electorate to become informed by publicizing issues and factual information on those issues, and to be active participants in the political process.
P2 is a non-partisan effort that assists employers in communicating with their employees and stockholders about the people and policies that impact their jobs and industries. Iowa is one of 45 state-based P2 affiliates with state-specific content. Iowa content is provided by EPIC; federal content is provided by the Business Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC). Firms who share this information with their employees and stockholders use corporate resources. This is NOT a regulated political activity.
